Hello and namaste. Namaste is a greeting used to recognize and honor the Spirit with me and the Spirit within you and the path we are both on.
Here and Now! We are back from teen camp! It was an amazing experience full of growth and self enlightenment. My teen and I went through an experience of home sickness. She gathered that we are both safe. I am here for her and this experience was happening for us to grow together and learn. By the last day of camp she didn't want to leave. THAT IS THE AH-HA MOMENT WE ARE LOOKING FOR! It's so simple that the growth of independence was a step forward in her spiritual growth. She ended up gaining so much from the workshops, so much from the belief system, how to manifest, show the world love, show herself love, and our form of prayer which is still in the process of perfection. The most important part was gaining the knowledge of we are all one and the entire camp teens and adults support and love her. We are always at the right place and the right time. At this moment we are ever present in the knowing of growth for our group. We have gained a youth and a young adult who we are grateful for. They loved their experience and intend to come back. We welcome them into our group with complete love and wholeness. We respect the paths they are on. Today we learned about the seven attributes of Spirit/God/Universe. These qualities are within us just as much as it is within the Universe. We embody them and recognize all of them in our lives and the ones we want to show up more. These qualities are Love, Power, Light, Peace, Life, Joy, and Beauty. We made play dough molds of what that looks like to us. We each picked one of these qualities and molded our opinions. Life was a frog representing nature and everything living. Peace was a scale; balance of life. Love was relationships of all kinds and the unconditional care for them. Light was the Universe because it is infinite. Power was a hand with a flower in it representing having the power to manifest beautiful things. Joy was the things that make us happy like a cat or smiling or getting along with our parents. And Beauty was a garden and birds. This is what our group came up with. Let your mind wonder on what these God Qualities mean to you and how they show up for you. They can always be molded into different things. It's never just one thing and there's never a wrong answer. Let yourself recognize that all these qualities are within you. You are these qualities and you can know that anytime you want. Peace begins within. Namaste, Bree

Hello everyone! I am Light, Love, Happiness, Health, Joy, Peace, Power, and Divine, but most people call me Bree.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season with celebration, love, great food, and gifts! Also Happy New Year! We welcome this new year with open arms! We have a knowing that everything and anything is possible! You are courageous and powerful! You control this new year and you get to create your reality every step of the way. "I can.." is now in your vocabulary at all times! Now that that's out of our system, let us begin the joyous blog about CAMP!!! Our teen and I are going up to Malibu for winter teen camp on January 17th - January 20th! We are very excited! This camp teaches tools on how to be more spiritual and connect with ourselves, nature, other people, the Infinite, and the world through workshops that we do with our "family". "Family" is the group you are put into with 5 to 6 other teens and two "parents" who are advisers (which will be me) from other youth groups. You learn, grow, and expand your consciousness with your family. They usually become your life long friends. The requirement to go to this camp is that you are 13-18 years old (in high school), to go to your center for four months, and to know the five steps of spiritual mind treatment, which is our form of prayer. The adult requirement is to have one class of science of mind, usually foundations, to know spiritual mind treatment, and to go to the adviser training or attend the online version of the training. Camp is a magnificent experience. It opens your mind up completely! I was fifteen when I started going to camp. At that time I was a quite being who kept to myself and then camp happened and it changed every bit of that. It helped me to claim my perfection and to accept the path that I am on. I went from being timid and scared to outgoing and courageous! Without the experiences that I received in camp I don't know where or who I would be right now. I've learned that I am in control of what I want my life to look like. Although life being life, we get challenges thrown on our path. With camp I was given tools on how to get through the challenges while keeping a positive mind and giving thanks to the challenge for what it has taught me. I've learned to see the positive side out of every experience, good or bad. If you are reading this thinking " I'm a teen... I wanna go!!!! But I guess it's too late (sad face)"... Well thankfully you can go to the SUMMER CAMP in July! The difference between the camps are that summer is a week long- winter is a weekend, summer: people come from all over the world- at winter its your region (socal for us), summer: goes much deeper into the workshops and winter goes deep but not too deep, summer: has more events throughout it and winter only has the talent show and the dance (if I'm remembering that correctly). Now this doesn't mean winter doesn't rock, it's just not as long but still a great experience and as a region we get much closer. If you have any questions please email me through the CSL Menifee Valley on facebook! Or email me personally at [email protected]. I will be happy to give more information about our center and camp. Love, Peace, and Light, Bree <3 Hello everyone! It's your friendly young adult Bree again!
Today we made our delivery to the adopt a family nominees! They were so appreciative and humble to have all these gifts come to them. They were wonderful people with sweet kids who were full of joy and happiness. One lesson learned from this project is that no matter what you want to do, it can be done. It begins with a thought and once you verbalize this thought, do a five step treatment (prayer), and know it is happening the Universe provides whole heartedly! With the perfect support and turning all the negatives, that either pop in your head or that are said to you, into positives and bless those around, you can do anything! We went from just an idea to over 500 dollars in spending money for these families and an extra 250 dollars for each family to support their grocery shopping. We made this happen and it was such an amazing opportunity to give and be grateful for what we have. We have our entire congregation to thank. Without them we wouldn't have made this project happen, or at least not as easily. This coming Sunday, 12/29/13, is the teen and young adult fifth Sunday. This means we do the service! Now since it's only me, Rev. Steve and I will be doing the talk together. It is called Devine Presents. We will also be the guest artists with two others that will be joining us in the jam. Please come check us out and find out your Devine Presents! Namaste and Love, Bree :) Welcome to the first blog of the teen and young adult page!
Currently, we are working on expanding our mind and growing ourselves to better our community. We've been working on a program called Adopt-A-Family. We give the families who are less fortunate an opportunity to have an amazing Christmas by supplying the food and presents for every person in their family. We have two families that we've adopted - both with four kids each. These families are very humble and grateful for our help, and they are deserving of an amazing holiday. We are so grateful that we could supply this for them - and give back. We are also working on expanding our groups. So if you would like to join, please come Sundays at 10 A.M. We are a loving group of teens and young adults, living a positive life in a safe environment. We are a family and we open our arms to anyone who wants to join. You will be immediately accepted. We are a very laid-back group; we are open-minded, spiritual, perfect beings - All One. We are creating our reality to our standards; and, as we grow together, we gain a better understanding about what it means to be Divine, Deserving, and Perfect! As we grow, we raise funds for great causes. For example, we are planning events in the near future. We are planning to go on hikes, go camping, visit other churches, have a dance, have a lock-in, go to a Buddhist temple, and many other things. By planning and throwing fundraisers, we can achieve these wonderful goals. As of now, we have one teen and one young adult. We are expanding rapidly and holding a high consciousness of expansion. The youth administrator is Rev. Linda Overton. She's the greatest! She's so full of energy and ready to help us in a heartbeat. We have two adult advisors. There's Andy, a practitioner, and White Feather, a wonderful musician. These men are incredible beings. They are always keeping a positive mind for the teen and young adult group. They are also ready in a heartbeat to help us. I am Bree and I am the young adult who is typing this whole thing. I am also an advisor for when we go to the teen camps in January and July. I am 23 years old. I am on the way to becoming a practitioner. We are all working incredibly hard to grow our teen and young adult group. Our one teen is a beautiful being and is learning so much, in order to gain a better outlook on life. The messages that are taught here carry throughout your entire life. It's a whole teaching of enlightening yourself and we love it! |
