Hello everyone! It's your friendly young adult Bree again!
Today we made our delivery to the adopt a family nominees! They were so appreciative and humble to have all these gifts come to them. They were wonderful people with sweet kids who were full of joy and happiness. One lesson learned from this project is that no matter what you want to do, it can be done. It begins with a thought and once you verbalize this thought, do a five step treatment (prayer), and know it is happening the Universe provides whole heartedly! With the perfect support and turning all the negatives, that either pop in your head or that are said to you, into positives and bless those around, you can do anything! We went from just an idea to over 500 dollars in spending money for these families and an extra 250 dollars for each family to support their grocery shopping. We made this happen and it was such an amazing opportunity to give and be grateful for what we have. We have our entire congregation to thank. Without them we wouldn't have made this project happen, or at least not as easily. This coming Sunday, 12/29/13, is the teen and young adult fifth Sunday. This means we do the service! Now since it's only me, Rev. Steve and I will be doing the talk together. It is called Devine Presents. We will also be the guest artists with two others that will be joining us in the jam. Please come check us out and find out your Devine Presents! Namaste and Love, Bree :)

Welcome to the first blog of the teen and young adult page!
Currently, we are working on expanding our mind and growing ourselves to better our community. We've been working on a program called Adopt-A-Family. We give the families who are less fortunate an opportunity to have an amazing Christmas by supplying the food and presents for every person in their family. We have two families that we've adopted - both with four kids each. These families are very humble and grateful for our help, and they are deserving of an amazing holiday. We are so grateful that we could supply this for them - and give back. We are also working on expanding our groups. So if you would like to join, please come Sundays at 10 A.M. We are a loving group of teens and young adults, living a positive life in a safe environment. We are a family and we open our arms to anyone who wants to join. You will be immediately accepted. We are a very laid-back group; we are open-minded, spiritual, perfect beings - All One. We are creating our reality to our standards; and, as we grow together, we gain a better understanding about what it means to be Divine, Deserving, and Perfect! As we grow, we raise funds for great causes. For example, we are planning events in the near future. We are planning to go on hikes, go camping, visit other churches, have a dance, have a lock-in, go to a Buddhist temple, and many other things. By planning and throwing fundraisers, we can achieve these wonderful goals. As of now, we have one teen and one young adult. We are expanding rapidly and holding a high consciousness of expansion. The youth administrator is Rev. Linda Overton. She's the greatest! She's so full of energy and ready to help us in a heartbeat. We have two adult advisors. There's Andy, a practitioner, and White Feather, a wonderful musician. These men are incredible beings. They are always keeping a positive mind for the teen and young adult group. They are also ready in a heartbeat to help us. I am Bree and I am the young adult who is typing this whole thing. I am also an advisor for when we go to the teen camps in January and July. I am 23 years old. I am on the way to becoming a practitioner. We are all working incredibly hard to grow our teen and young adult group. Our one teen is a beautiful being and is learning so much, in order to gain a better outlook on life. The messages that are taught here carry throughout your entire life. It's a whole teaching of enlightening yourself and we love it! |
